Tracks 1-1 to 1-4 and 1-6 to 1-7 were taken from the first tape You Will Recover that was released by Nüxdorf Recordings in 1991 in a numbered edition of 10 copies. Track 1-5 is previously unreleased. Tracks 1-8 to 1-10 are taken from the tape Nightmares that was released in two editions, one by Anomalous Records and one by Slaughter Productions.
Nightmare Disc:
Tracks 2-1 and 2-2 are taken from the Slaughter Productions tape You Will Never Survive This Nightmare and were exclusive tracks to that release. Tracks 2-3 to 2-8 were recorded live in London, May 25th, 2001.

Megaptera marks its 15th year by completely dissolving. This release stands as an epitaph as well as a celebration. The definitive work of The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud. Symphonic strata of orchestral samples, beating martial rhythms and haunting chants evocate a very frightening vision of war and destruction. Track 02 is the one which will be reworked and used by Albin Julius with his solo project Der Blutharsch as the famous "God Punish England". CD 2 includes one of the best tracks ever by the band: it is about the madness of nazi SS commander Heinrich Himmler and the music is a powerful Wagnerian orchestration which would be worth of the best Laibach and Autopsia. The final track is a beautiful 14 minutes loops created using a sample from Prokofiev's "Alexander Nievski".

This release comes in a 3 panel matte paper sleeve that is placed between two matte black squares. There is a small piece of knotted rope stapled to the front square, which rests at a diagonal inside four diecut slits in the larger backing piece. It is limited to 1000 copies.
Michel Villar (piano) and Ombeline Chardes (violin) both hailing from France are the talented musicians who set up this project. They’ve been joined by a few more musicians and guest vocalists. While releasing their debut-cd on Equilibrium Music they have already been involved in various soundtrack compositions for independent cinema, animations and documentaries. The soundtrack-influence is easily recognizable while the piano and violin parts also bring us to make a link with neo classical music. Les Fragments De La Nuit sounds like a journey through darkness and the name of the project perfectly fits to this goal. Most of the songs remain instrumental version filled with low piano keys and sad feelings emerging from this melancholia. Mysterious chants emerge to the surface on one of the pieces, but the music remains like encaged in an atmosphere of endless darkness or should I say an endless night. The different fragments of this night have been expressed with a gift for melancholia coming from musicians with talent!
Here's a great compilation of dark and neoclassical music, dedicated to the Père--Lachaise cemetery, which is one of the most romantic and mysterious places in this holy world. It's also an unmissable reference in gloomy and cinematic "tragical" culture. Together, Divine Comedy Records and Steinklang are producing a tribute to this worldwide and legendary atmospheric icon.
This musical journey is depicted by four top bands (with two tracks each) from the new emerging dark-ambiant and neo-symphonic scene : Horologium, Project Winter and Artefactum from Poland completed by Foundation Hope from the Netherlands. The mood is dark, menacing and epic at time with Horologium being the most martial act. "Paradise One" symbolises a passage from life to death surrounded by fading memories from different areas and destinies.
The CD is packed in a beautiful book with full pages sepia pictures by Fabrice Billard, known for his previous pictures and illustrations for DCR releases and bands such as Sonne Hagal. Art and history beyond the graves. Pere-Lachaise is a feeric and beautiful place. A place you'll need a whole existence to know "tous les coins et recoins".
