Xela - The Illuminated (Cassette + Vinyl) [2008/2009]

A Black Scripture (19:57)
B Gilted Rose (19:57)

"The Illuminated" was originally released on cassette, a format very fitting to the gloomy, waterlogged sounds; but having sold out in a matter of days it now recieves the much needed deluxe re-issue treatment. Taking cues from the cracked black metal of Burzum and Striborg and fusing this with heavy, synthesized noise "The Illuminated" is possibly Xela's darkest, most spine-chilling work to date. We are taken through chiming Nurse With Wound-inspired soundscapes into Middle Eastern marketplaces and through caverns of thick, buzzing synthesized noise on the album's first piece. Entitled "Black Scripture" this takes the dank religious themes of "In Bocca Al Lupo" and goes even deeper into the Church dungeons, digging up lost artifacts and the angry spirits that accompany them. The flipside extends this heresy with a throaty vocal and distorted electric guitar, leaving blackened corpses and the traces of a sleepy village in its wake. Devastating and dark material, listen if you dare...

"In this the signs shall be those of Set triumphant and of Baphomet. Also shall Set appear in the circle. Let him drink of the sacrament and let him communicate the same."

Des Esseintes / Diskrepant - Folie À Deux (2003, EP)

This is an EP featuring two artists from Sweden who produce some rhythmic soundscapes and minimalistic noise.

1- Des Esseintes: Scrying / Closure
2- Diskrepant: Variety Unknown
3- Diskrepant: Grand Mal
4- Diskrepant: And The Machines Laughed At Mankind

The first, Des Esseintes, is side project of Magnus Sundström who is the man behind Cold Meat Industry act, The Protagonist. It starts with a nice blend of electronic sounds and monk-style singing samples in the background. As it moves on it gets heavier and lets loose some blistering industrial with powerful drum beats. This really is powerful stuff and quite long too clocking in at almost thirteen minutes.
Diskrepant have contributed three songs here. It’s the work of Per Ånlund. It’s a lot more menacing than Des Esseintes and mainly consists of electronic noise without the rhythm. Many samples are used here too. 'Variety Unknown' is the first of the tracks, and from the start it lets loose some blistering electronic rumbles sounding like someone has gone insane in the tool shed! ‘Grand Mal’ is the same kind of thing but probably more menacing. It’s a real torture on the ears if you have this up loud which I think is a good thing! Its piercing sounds are guaranteed to send shivers through your body. Final track ‘…and The Machines Laughed At Mankind’ starts with some ambient sounds mixed with samples. It’s quite calming after the noise before it. You do expect some kind of noise to leap out at you though, so tread carefully because it might well happen!
(review from fluxeuropa.com)

Packaged in a cardboard sleeve.

P.s. You can find a work from Diskrepant on my own blog http://ritualisticnature.blogspot.com/ , the record there has a completly different sound and in my opinion mutch better. Well im not a great "friend" of Noise...

Menace Ruine - The Die is Cast (2008)

"The Die is Cast finds Menace Ruine eschewing the howling vocals and blast beats of their debut album, instead replacing them with majestic songs based around the vocal style of Genviève and the anthemic medieval music that bares much more resemblance to Neo-Folk than Black Metal." - Label. That's fairly accurate, however they forgot to mention the huge martial influence. All in all, noisy martial with the odd distorted metal riff. Geneviève's vocals bring something quite brilliant to the mix, and do give the music quite a majestic feel.

Label - Alien8 Recordings
Line-up:

Geneviève - Vocals, Instruments, Lyrics
S. de La Moth - - Vocals, Instruments

BOCKSHOLM - The Bocksholm Demos (?); Excursions By The Bank Of The Black River (2002)

Bocksholm is a colaborative project between Peter Andersson & Peter Andersson.
After some years of confusion by having two persons with the name Peter Andersson, both grown up in the small industrial town called Boxholm and making industrial music on the CMI label, there was almost no choice but to collaborate with each other in a project named Bocksholm (the old spelling of Boxholm). This collaboration between Raison D'etre and Deutsch Nepal started in 1998 and reflects the bad childhood environment of the ironworks in Boxholm."

Red Needled Sea / Appes split (2007)

A three inch CDR that continues the experimental nature of the Cam Deas CDR. Fans of Dirty Demos and Blackest Rainbow will appreciate the long extended dark drifts, guitar and FX generated noise, vapours of tones and droning clouds of grey lustres. It's like a soundtrack to a film made somewhere in the former eastern block back when it had a reputation for all things totalitarian. On the other hand, it could be the soundtrack to a slow motion ballet, particularly the closing drawn-out finale. - Norman records

B1- Black Church

B5- Ave Verum Corpus (2.002 Mix)

" Leiche Rustikal burn anthracite with flame throwers, the dense black, compressed carbon smoulders and smokes a constant heat, yet the real flame and energy is being generated by the hand-held fiery projectors; taking target with an outpouring of purgatory.
Mordant rhythms susurrate and squealing steel choir feedback and demagogic vocals stamp the uproar that unfurls a choking suffocating cloud. As a sandstorm, the frequencies here do the excoriation, rasping away salient features to reveal the innermost organs of the mechanism of noise; not that ‘Rudra’ is a bastion of power electronics as Leiche Rustikal has more in common with older industrial noise, allowing shape and subtlety instead of volumetric fulsomeness, than new battlements of static. Guitars meld amidst ongoing female torture in decadent industrial pop, secular melody for a moribund end. Rancour rubs together like the legs of a mechanised cicada, almost syncopated rhythms vent steam and blare horn-like to a frosted and laconic monologue, and the stilted percussive legs vacillate bizarre rhythmic arrangements to symphonic surges of tidal noise and frequency.
Church organs groan a hymnal horror to the sharpening of knives and zombified drums, the sinister of Leiche Rustikal is never far from the surface as Rudra evinces with every acidulent track. It is the vicissitudes of the compositions that works up the styptic agent to bruit Leiche Rustikal away from the supine realm of walls of cauterization, using noise as a device to develop structure without blistering the listener. In the end, that anthracite continues to smoulder right until the last carbon vapour is released, flame thrower already in search for another target."
Words from "heathenharvest"

Vinyl Lp, Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies. Also released on a cdr Hand-numbered limited to 100. The original "Ave Verum Corpus" track appears on the tape 'Epitaph' (already post by me on the blog)

GALERIE SCHALLSCHUTZ - Montauk project [2005]

1- Let's Talk Montauk
2- Phoenix II
3- Camp Hero
4- S.A.G.E.
5- The Human Factor
6- Neural Tunnelling

8- Facing Reality
9- Phoenix III
10- 6037
11- Delta-T-Antenna
12- Tran(c)eformation Of America
13- Now Is The Time...
14- ...To Think About!

This is the Third release of G.S. and of course is another one EXCELLENT work. Montauk Project (also named the Phoenix Project, depending on the time period) was in the 70's and early 80's a covert governmental ultra-top-secret electromagnetic mind control and time experiment project that took place at an abandoned Air Force radar base at the southeast tip of Long Island (New York) ...a base that should still be in use nowadays for ultra-secret research and experimentation into interdimensional technology, weather control, electronic and drug-based mind control...(just to name a few of these mad projects that are the work of secret societies).

The overall musical assemblage is mostly based upon dense layers of sound, pulsed and repetitive frequencies, drawn out ambient textures, multiple noises, deformed voices/cries... with some atmospheric passages...but expect to physically and mentally feel the special atmosphere of this record, especially on 'Montauk Chair' which is a real listening experience that will leave no listener insensible...
(some words taken from the defunct Heimdllar Webzine)

The regular cd edition comes in a dvd case featuring a 19x14 cm foldout digipak with a holographic picture on the frontcover. The special limited handmade edition (only 83 numbered copies), it comes in a stunning 22x22 cm S.A.G.E. radar station made of wood and metal.Included too an 11x9 cm holographic card.

Galerie Schallschutz - Teddybear [2004, mcd]

1- Berlin Tempelhof (7350 Air Base Group)
2- Electrical Nerve Gas
3- Stimulated Gamma Impulse
4- Psychotronic War
5- The Hum

"Teddybear" can be considered as a supplement to the album "HAARP". The album deals with a mysterious phenomenon closer to home. Apparently there is a secret military project at airport Berlin Tempelhof, with strange low frequency noises coming from some sort of antenna. Many people in the surroundings of the airtport are disturbed by an incessant humming which penetrates their houses. An independent investigation team beleives there's a connection between the humming and the military installations at Berlin Tempelhof. "Teddybear" is the codename for the U.S. military base at Berlin Tempelhof. The five tracks deal with various manifestations of frequencies and microwaves. The low frequency noises make up for interesting sound source material. The last track contains a minute of the original hum recorded at Berlin. The sound goes to collages of ambient/noise music and many samples. Sometimes dense and ritual, often dark and chilling.
(some words taken from "Funprox Webzine")

If you like the "Haarp", that i already post here. you will like this too :)

This item is a mini cd ,limited to 300 copies. It comes in a 10" gatefold-sleeve. A cardboard-sleeve for the CD is sticked inside the cover. Inserts are a 2-page 10.5x21 cm postcard and an one sided 21x15 cm info sheet. A special edition, limited to 49 copies, also exists. All the contents of the normal edition packaged in a special box with a personal gift.

Galerie Schallschutz and Eternal Soul originally planned to release this music on vinyl format. The 10" sleeves were already manufactured. But then a problem arose: no vinyl pressing plant could press the record, because of the 'frequency range and sound characteristics'.

4- Electronic Rain
5- Slicing The Ionosphere
6- Ionospheric Research Instrument
7- Pulsed Radio Waves Radiation
8- Angels Don't Play This HA(A)RP
9- How It Sounds...

This is the first release from this German project. A concept album based around H.A.A.R.P. (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program), on purpose to denounce the deliberate misinformation campaign surounding this US governement project.Officially it is presented as an academical project to change the ionosphere to improve global communications. But it appears that a secret weapon is being developped in this secret military base in Alaska. This system uses sound frequencies to manipulate weather pattern, disrupt communication systems, disrupt human mental proccesses and to negatively affect health.Accordingly, GALERIE SCHALLSCHUTZ use deep pulsed frequencies, manipulated interferences, electromagnetic sounds that are layered and repeated to create a strange and mysterious atmosphere. Each drawn-out ambient track is the aural illustration of the different capacities of this secret star wars weapon that are described in detail in the notes acompanying this release. The last track is a short excerpt of a HAARP-Signal recorded in San Jose, California; situated 5,000 miles away from the transmitter in Gakona, Alaska.A well researched and informative released that will interest those who have an interest for conspiracy theories and those who still want to think and who still can think...
(some words taken from the defunct Heimdllar Webzine)

The sound is on Experimental Dark Ambient Noise territory, this is a great work :)

Limited edition of 100 copies in a special handnumbered triangular metal box. Included is a 2-sided triangular info sheet. A regular edition of this release comes in a clear embossed DVD jewel box.

p.s. If you like this say something and comment, and i will post other works of this project.

Mental Destruction is a fantastic Scandinavia project from Durling brothers, originally aided by third member Jonas Blåberg. They start as an isolated creative unit in early 1989, in as attempt to create music from a different perspective. They wanted to focus on the pure essence of rhythm and sound itself, trying to liberate the music from the melody. In they own words they play “Orthodox Industrial”, as the inspiration of the lyrics is their devotion to Christ. This is a reissue of their now famous 1989 cassette release, with some additional tracks. A limited edition exists having a special printed translucent sheet over the booklet and housed in a black slipcase with the MD cog/cross logo embossed on it.
