Les Jumeaux Discordants - Les Jumeaux Discordants (EP) [2007]

1 Malédiction
2 Almus Spiritus
3 Betrayed Bride
4 Être
5 Le Destin
6 The White Room

Les Jumeaux Discordants is a project born in 2005
by the union of two pre-existent projects:
THE LAST HOUR by Roberto Del Vecchio and AIMAPROJECT.
The first is a strictly musical project; the second is born in 1996 and it works
in various expressive fields: poetry, photography, music and multimedia.
Aimaproject comes from neofolk and she works with many musical projects.
Les Jumeaux Discordants project presupposes a strong interaction between
poetry, image and music. There’s even a bent for the cinematographic transposition
of the visionary poems, about the various range of the human feelings.
Nevertheless, Les Jumeaux Discordants is ascension, it is the coscience of earthly,
a coscience which is turned to the overcoming of the human miseries,
made by the unique instruments which are still free: mind and spirit.

raison d'être - The Stains of the Embodied Sacrifice [2009]

1. If It Bears Thorns Its End Is To Be Burned
2. Withstand The Fire
3. The Spirit Will Not Share The Guilt
4. Desecrated By The Blood
5. Purified With Fire
6. Without The Shedding There Is No Forgiveness
7. Death In The Body But Made Allive By The Spirit
8. The Temple Is Eternal Sacred

The Stains of the Embodied Sacrifice' is not only vibrating on the surface of your skin. It is alive and breathing, a creature with a knife that cut deep wounds in your body while your soul shatters for air. It is a psychosomatic and transgressive disease opressed by a compulsive behaviour manifested in dualities - the one of your body and mind - and states of metamorphoses - mind becomes flesh become wounds become fluids become stains. Play it loud if you want to become the martyr. Play it low if you are the innocent victim. There are no levels in-between. Violent and intense, it is a hell of an ordeal. But withstand and you are promised bliss.

Die Weisse Rose - A Martyrium Of White Roses [2009]

1 A Martyrium Of White Roses (5:52)
2 Im Nebel (1:17)
3 The Solitary Volcano (5:00)
4 Letzter Wille (4:33)
5 Unser Leben Geht Dahin Wie Ein Geschwätz (5:15)
6 At The Doorsteps Of Our Temple (5:59)
7 Nicht Schuldig (4:38)
8 As The Last Of The Petals Are Shattered (4:40)

It might seem strange that a band without a single release to its name has played concerts
and festivals all over Europe. But anyone who has ever experienced Die Weisse Rose on stage
knows why.
More than concerts, Die Weisse Rose's performances are elaborate rituals, caleidoscopic (or
even psychedelic) experiences. Elements such as uniforms, burning torches, snippets of old
schla"gers, segments from documentary films and philosophical proclamations are wowen
together by orgies of live drums and electronic sounds.
Die Weisse strives towards what Wagner called "Gesamtkunstwerke" - total works of art. When
most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke, it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do
it, it makes sense.
Die Weisse Rose also like to think of their songs as "audiodocumentaries". Again, such a
seemingly pretentious term makes sense, as Die Weisse Rose's art is just as indebted to the
History Channel as to Throbbing Gristle.
To bolster Die Weisse Rose's lineup (which really consists only of the band's mastermind,
Thomas Bojden) over the years the unit has recruited collaborators to its ranks that makes
DWR smack of an Industrial supergroup. From Marco Deplano (Foresta di Ferro), Gerhard
(Allerseelen), Kim Larsen (Of the Wand and the Moon) to name but a few.
In return, Thomas Bojden has returned the favour and played with a who's who of of the
Industrial and Neofolk underground, from well-established outfits like Rome, Blood Axis and
Foresta Di Ferro to up-and-coming Austrian neofolk band Klammheim.
Now, Die Weisse Rose are for the first time available on record. If you fear that we have
another "martial" clone band on our hands, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The music is
painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to perfection to include electronic elements, field
recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground
culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in
the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs.
Let one thousand white roses bloom, as Die Weisse Rose unleashes "A Martyrium Of White
Roses".

1 Momentum I (5:41)
2 Nuraghi (6:54)
3 Ananda (7:59)
4 Tellurian (7:02)
5 Momentum II (4:22)

Five years have passed since the self-contained 'drake equation'. this ep is also a stand-alone release - a stop between the second and the third part of the nyan trilogy. sal-ocin joined t.m.o. as a full member a few years ago and now the project is a trio with the inclusion of the live concert drummer spike.

this morn' omina created five tracks which combine rhythmic complexity with impulsive power and tuneful depth to aurally express mass and velocity of an object (=momentum). framed by the fast, pulsating floor burners momentum I and II, you will discover the melodic beauty of nuraghi, the tribal, symphonic darkness of ananda, and the slow, melancholic flow of tellurian. synthetic beats, acoustic percussion, sub-basses, atmospheric electronics and energetic vocals result in the uniqueness that this morn' omina stands for.

Converter - Exit Ritual [2003]

1 Dronr(Itual) (5:24)
2 Bloodsex (3:48)
3 Nightmare Machine (8:16)
4 Cloud Eye (6:21)
5 In Ruins... (10:03)
6 Order/Creature (4:51)
7 Gateway Rite (8:13)
8 Soulstealer (8:36)
9 Night Swallows Day (11:53)
10 Fallen (7:39)

Converter's music is often described as 'Power Noise' - which means, in this case, Rhythmic Noise. As for 'Shock Front' this description was spot on. On 'Blast Furnace', converter added a dark ambient styling to the rhythmic rage; which was quite a surprise for the "hit the dance floor noise addicts". However, this combination worked perfectly. After "Expansion" which contained older and brand new material, lots of listeners asked "where does this highway lead to?".

Converter's aural universe was always desolate and sometimes threatening. "Exit Ritual" continues this path but this time around Sturgis uses his nightmarish sound injections in a more subtle way. So, can we still speak of 'Power Noise'? Sure we can !

Sturgis intensified the dark mood and slowed down the beats - it also seems that he explored the roots of industrial. Just listen to 'In Ruins...', a punching, slow loop and harsh metallic clashes which could have been taken right out of an old s.p.k. tune - anyone remember 'Leichenschrei'? Maybe the listeners of Scandinavian 'Death Industrial' will also love this cd? For example, the deep drones and foggish vocal samples in 'Dronr(itual)'.

Yes, this is a rhythmic but listening at home is recommended (for most of the tracks). If you think the entire CD is a 'moody one' then check out 'Order/Creature' and you will march right into volunteered slavery!

Converter still has some hard candy to offer - fasten your seat belts - as you never know where this journey will lead...

Ant-Zen is proud to present Converter's third full-length masterpiece.

Des Esseintes / Diskrepant - Folie À Deux (2003, EP)

This is an EP featuring two artists from Sweden who produce some rhythmic soundscapes and minimalistic noise.

1- Des Esseintes: Scrying / Closure
2- Diskrepant: Variety Unknown
3- Diskrepant: Grand Mal
4- Diskrepant: And The Machines Laughed At Mankind

The first, Des Esseintes, is side project of Magnus Sundström who is the man behind Cold Meat Industry act, The Protagonist. It starts with a nice blend of electronic sounds and monk-style singing samples in the background. As it moves on it gets heavier and lets loose some blistering industrial with powerful drum beats. This really is powerful stuff and quite long too clocking in at almost thirteen minutes.
Diskrepant have contributed three songs here. It’s the work of Per Ånlund. It’s a lot more menacing than Des Esseintes and mainly consists of electronic noise without the rhythm. Many samples are used here too. 'Variety Unknown' is the first of the tracks, and from the start it lets loose some blistering electronic rumbles sounding like someone has gone insane in the tool shed! ‘Grand Mal’ is the same kind of thing but probably more menacing. It’s a real torture on the ears if you have this up loud which I think is a good thing! Its piercing sounds are guaranteed to send shivers through your body. Final track ‘…and The Machines Laughed At Mankind’ starts with some ambient sounds mixed with samples. It’s quite calming after the noise before it. You do expect some kind of noise to leap out at you though, so tread carefully because it might well happen!
(review from fluxeuropa.com)

Packaged in a cardboard sleeve.

P.s. You can find a work from Diskrepant on my own blog http://ritualisticnature.blogspot.com/ , the record there has a completly different sound and in my opinion mutch better. Well im not a great "friend" of Noise...

Empusae - The Hatred of Trees [2008]

01 The Hatred Of Trees (15:46)
02 Undead Soil (6:53)
03 Fragments Of Cerebral Dimensions (10:35)
04 Hard Boiled Wonderland (Inspired By H. Murakami) (8:07)
05 Waanzin (10:26)

After his last album "Error 404: Metaphorical Loss" Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe aka Sa-Ocin focused not only on his live performances at all important electronica and industrial festivals but also on his development as a musician in his other projects: This Morn' Omina and Tzolk’in, Project Arctic and as a live member of Ah Cama-Sotz. The result of this progress is found in "The Hatred of Trees", an astonishing and unique piece of dark epic industrial electronica with smooth tribal rhythms.

The music will take you to a journey through dark and threatening places, deep feelings, mystic glades, fallen empires, buried dreams, haunted woods and forgotten old worlds – the soundtrack for your darkest fantasies.

The Stargazer's Assistant - The Other Side of the Island (2007)

"We find no vestige of a beginning, no prospect of an end" - James Hutton, Theory of the Earth, 1795.

Deep underground, life moves slowly. Once teeming with insect and amphibian life, the great swamps of the Carboniferous era were buried under the weight of 300 million years, eventually returning to the surface as coal. In this new form they would be consumed in fires and furnaces for three thousand years before blackening the lungs of Empire and driving the Industrial Revolution. It was then that James Hutton, the first geologist, began to consider the depths beneath our feet and the unimaginable abyss of time that they represent. This is the world of The Stargazer's Assistant. This is the forge of the Earth. This is deep time.

The Other Side Of The Island is the soundtrack to the sculptural works collected under the same name, both being the work of David J Smith. In addition to his percussion duties with Guapo, Smith has spent the last two years bringing his visions to life; life that emerged slowly, painstakingly, out of wax, coal, copper and lead. In much the same way, the soundtrack itself slowly writhes organically before the listener: the groan of the motherlode, the shifting of tectonic plates, the song of the Earth's crust. In collaboration with longstanding musical cohort Daniel O'Sullivan (with whom Smith plays in Miasma & The Carousel Of Headless Horses) and audio engineer Antti Uusumaki, Smith has created a strange work comprising of layered vocals, percussion, electronics and prepared strings.

Nostalgia - The House On The Borderland (2005)

9. The Attack (2:40)
10. In The Cellar (7:20)
11. The Sea Of Sleep (5:44)
12. Black Sun (9:27)

About the Book:

In 1877, two gentlemen, Messrs Tonnison and Berreggnog, head into Ireland to spend a week fishing in the village of Kraighten. While there, they discover in the ruins of a very curious house a diary of the man who had once owned it. Its torn pages seem to hint at an evil beyond anything that existed on this side of the curtains of impossibility. This is a classic novel that worked to slowly bridge the gap between the British fantastic and supernatural authors of the later 19th century and modern horror fiction. Classic American horror writer H. P. Lovecraft lists this and other works by Hodgson among his greatest influences.

About The Album:

This musical adaptation of The House On The Borderland is the result of a collaboration between German musicians Rüdiger Gleisberg and Mathias Grassow, the founding duo behind Nostalgia, and Italian Luigi Seviroli, who suggested the concept to Gleisberg and Grassow. Track titles closely follow William Hope Hodgson’s original narrative, which concerns two friends on a fishing holiday in Ireland who discover a manuscript in a ruined house. The manuscript tells of its author’s encounters in the house with evil supernatural and extra-dimensional beings, culminating in the cosmic horror of helplessly watching throughout countless aeons as the earth and its solar system are consumed by the ‘Dark Sun’.

3 Prozession Der Augen (12:37)
4 Calanda (6:23)
5 In Die Nacht (5:32)
6 Zu Füßen Der Mutter (5:46)
7 Zuflucht (5:59)
This is the re-release (limited to 500) of the second Apoptose album originaly released in, 2002 nearly two years after the release of the CD "Nordland," this time treading on unexpected musical paths. Only occasionally does one still feel a faint breeze from the barren landscapes of the north, for on "Blutopfer" a special ritual of the south is celebrated: the Easter drumming processions of the little Spanish village of Calanda. Following a stay in Calanda in 1998, Apoptose could not forget the impression this festival made, since the primordial power of these archaic rhythms and the magic of the blood that flows from the hands of the drummers touches anyone who has ever witnessed it. The decision was made then to compile an album from the hours of documentary recordings which came into being during this time. However, it was not until the year 2001 that the time was finally right to start the project that in 2002 reached its final form in the CD "Blutopfer." The title is the German term for "blood sacrifice".
Contains drum samplings from the 1998 annual Semana Santa holy festival in Calanda village, Spain.

BOCKSHOLM - The Bocksholm Demos (?); Excursions By The Bank Of The Black River (2002)

Bocksholm is a colaborative project between Peter Andersson & Peter Andersson.
After some years of confusion by having two persons with the name Peter Andersson, both grown up in the small industrial town called Boxholm and making industrial music on the CMI label, there was almost no choice but to collaborate with each other in a project named Bocksholm (the old spelling of Boxholm). This collaboration between Raison D'etre and Deutsch Nepal started in 1998 and reflects the bad childhood environment of the ironworks in Boxholm."

SKROL - Dances and Marches for the Orphan Age (2005)

Skrol was formed in autumn 1995. It consisted of composer and polyinstrumentalist Vladimír Hirsch, singer Martina Sanollová and Tom Saivon, who provides noise structures and lyrics. Formation´s direction of creativity aims are based on original principles of modern form of classical music with its incorporation into a artificial space, using ambient and noise structures, characteristic for the contemporary post-industrial likeness of the world. The project has a mixture of avantgarde classical and industrial elements, but also many Slavic influences. Mastermind Hirsch is active in a variety of projects and is also no stranger to the academic aspects of avantgarde music. His works often have multiple underlying spiritual or scientific themes. The music of Skrol is certainly no easy listening, “Dances and Marches For The Orphan Age” is quite a dense and heavy structure. Religious organs and choirs are combined with percussive eruptions, industrial soundscapes and strange noises. In general the mood is threatening and apocalyptic, the sound often majestic and bombastic.
This work was record 1997-1999, but Vladimír Hirsch remixed and
remastered everything in 2002.
